Each year, Binghamton University hosts a Let Us Dream Conference that brings together educators and practitioners who want to support young people in identifying and achieving their dreams. This virtual event organizes panels around education and health.
The planning committee also asks for nominations for their Unsung Heroes award. We are proud to announce one of this year’s nominees is JC Connects K-8 Coordinator Debra Welsh-Clarke, LMSW. She was recently honored as part of the overall virtual conference.
In addition to being one of our JC Connects Coordinators, Welsh-Clarke is a former JC Board of Education member (2013-18). Driven by a passion to serve our youth and community, she is a great asset to our district and we are proud that she is being recognized for this much-deserved award. It goes without saying Debra Welsh-Clarke personifies the term “unsung hero.”
