JC senior on winning team for 'Fresh Food Face-Off' cooking contest

JC senior Rilee Dean was among a team of seven Broome-Tioga BOCES Culinary Arts students to win the “Best Taste” award for the category “pork” in Wednesday evening’s annual Fresh Food Face-Off event offered by Cornell Cooperative Extension-Broome County. The event was held at the Broome County Farmers Market and pitted the students in a culinary contest against some of the best chefs and restaurant staff from our area. The students prepared sweet and tangy country pork loin with a roasted sweet potato purée, topped with caramelized apples and a cranberry glaze. Great job, Rilee!
