Johnson City Elementary School art teachers Abbey Spencer and Cathy Felice challenged their students on the first day of art class to create a 3"x3" heart that included a word inside representing something they love about school or how they feel about school. Every student in the elementary school made a heart (and some made a few!) The project culminated in 864 hearts! The students have enjoyed trying to find their heart in a colorful sea of heart art. Amazing!
