Homecoming 2022September 30 marked the beginning of a memorable homecoming weekend for the Wildcats. It began with the announcement of the homecoming court and seniors Logan Hawley and Hayden Sokkoth being crowned Wildcat Royalty Top Cats.

The varsity football team played a hard-fought game against Norwich in front of a large hometown crowd at Wildcat Stadium. As a bonus, everyone was treated to a jaw-dropping sunset!

At halftime, the Johnson City Marching Wildcats put on an impressive field show followed by the introduction of the athletic hall of fame class of 2022. To wrap up the evening, everyone enjoyed a fireworks display on the hill. Of special note, we would like to thank everyone who donated to Friday evening’s Homecoming food drive.

On Saturday, the newest members of the athletic hall of fame were inducted at a formal dinner ceremony at Traditions at the Glen. Andrew Huray (Class of 1968), Kevin Morrissey (Class of 1979), Nicholas Neferis (Class of 2014), Dennis Ritlinger (Class of 1965), Rebecca Zajac (Class of 2009) and the Johnson City 1947-50 Football Teams were inducted. We would like to thank high school students Cheyenne McPeek, Dayzin Legare, Conor Morrison, Reese Westcott, Veronica Thavongsouk and Ian Morrison for doing a great job introducing this year’s newest members and speaking about the inductees.

To cap off the homecoming weekend festivities, the high school will hold a Homecoming Dance Saturday night at the high school. A great weekend of Wildcat pride!
