In honor of Veterans Day, Johnson City Elementary School students wrote more than 500 letters of thanks to be delivered to local veterans who live in the Oxford VA Home in Oxford. In addition, elementary school students from Chenango Forks Central School District, Broome County Catholic Schools and Union-Endicott Central School District contributed an additional 500 letters to the effort.
On November 12, the Nam Knights of America Motorcycle Club hand-delivered approximately 1,000 letters to the home, an endeavor that began in 2020. The Nam Knights of America Motorcycle Club is a charitable organization that supports veterans and law enforcement.
